There was a video about flushing a plugged heater core with I believe it was CLR or some similar compound and it restored the heat output. IIRC the Caprice Impala (3600 series) to 1996 used an aluminum composite heater core not the copper, maybe someone can confirm or correct me?
The Caprice got 2.93s and the Impala 3.08s but the Impala wheel package is heavier, the rear discs are near useless under normal driving. The engines vary in output more than the gearing affects performance, it comes down to individual cars not Impala vs. Caprice. Impala was a trim package with the rear discs and 3.08s tossed in as fake upgrades.
My caprice has started to crank longer than usual, and coincidentally when it started doing it the bearings went out on my alternator and it has a hellacious chirping grinding noise. This is probably completely unrelated, but who knows. So starting the car, it cranks fast and normal just takes...
