The documentation on storage spaces mostly applies to Windows Server and is practically nonexistent for desktop Windows 10. It might work better with a supported JBOD that did hot swapping, but I think a lot of people are in for a pretty nasty surprise when they go to replace a drive if using storage spaces.

None of My SD Card, USB Sticks, SSD Storage Devices, USB Charging Port Working in my Windows 11 HP Envy Laptop I have an HP Envy 16 Inch Laptop running Windows 11.

Under the Settings>System>Storage>This PC I checked and found the 20 GB's to be listed under "Other" but the folders listed in it are mere KB's and wouldn't be helpful to delete.

It is not posible to change internal storage. It has a 64gb (51gb free) sd card but won't use that. It has a 500gb external hard drive (122gb free) which it uses but still asks for more internal space. It has tried to update about 20 times or more. The Update Troubleshooter fixed 2 of 3 issues it found but still wants more internal storage.

Since I upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday my Kingston Data Traveller 2.0 USB drive disconnects every 10 minutes or so. How do I overcome this Thanks

I'm trying to download and install Windows 10. When I start I get the 3 boxes checked saying my computer is good to go for the upgrade, but then it says that there is not enough disk space and to run

USB Mass Storage Device (imagine a USB icon to the left of that) The system cannot find the file specified. Since the "file" is DISK.SYS, it MUST be there, otherwise Windows would not even boot. As I said, this will also happen with USB memory keys. One more data point, VMware workstation is installed on this system.

I selected an external storage device to free up space, as I need space to update Windows 10. However, once selected it still proceeds to take me to next step, which is to free up space (I've already done that step, repeatedly).
