Just learned about ash piles on fossil island volcano. I always assumed volcanic ash could only be obtained from volcanic mine or monster drops on fossil island.

TL;DR Get 1,005 pineapples (or other item), and 1,675 volcanic ash. This will equate to 1,005 ultra compost buckets.

In those same 3 minutes you could instead mine 200 220 volcanic ash @ 4x ash rate, which when using the fertile soil spell is equal to 100 110 ultracompost. So in terms of time efficiency you're better off mining more ash for the spell than using a bin to make ultracompost for the bucket unfortunately. It's a great update.

Question I’ve been hitting up Callisto recently and now have like 500 extra buckets of Supercompost that needs turning into Ultracompost. Is there a faster method than just manually adding in the ash for each bucket?

I just mined it for an hour too, 1k ash and 0 fossils... I guess it's an easy 800k hour money making method if the price doesn't drop.

PSA: Flax post potion Volcanic ash is super easy Ultra post I found flax can be used to make compost, which most ironman should have in abundance. That combined with the easy herblore XP that comes from compost potions and the updated faster rate for volcanic ash means that it is super easy to maintain ultra compost.
