The Amtrak twitter account says they extended the drop off time for today's northbound train until 5 p.m., but the southbound train didn't get there until 6:30. Do they have anyplace to hold all those vehicles for the next train, or does everybody sit in a line waiting to get in? Also, I assume there's no dinner on a train that leaves at 11:30 p.m.

I called Amtrak to find out my roomette assignments but now I realize they don't mean anything to me because I don't have a map of the train layout does someone know where I could find that. On the EB we are in Room 8 Sleeper 730 On the CS we are in Room 8 Sleeper 1130 If these aren't good, can we call and swtich to better roomettes? Thanks.

On another occasion, my train from Washington DC to Florida was cancelled because of an approaching snowstorm. The next day's train had roomettes available, but all the accessible bedrooms were taken. I tried and tried to get Amtrak's phone rep to put me in a roomette and check the scooter, but she wouldn't budge. I had to fly home instead.

Hello, as the title says I am in desperate need of getting my pc on the train with me. I bought this bag with stroller wheels to hold my computer so that’s not problem, but I wanted to ask if I should check this bag in or bring it with me on the train itself to ensure it’s well being.

I've been traveling on Amtrak with a CPAP since the early 90's. In addition to the extension cord power strip, you also may want to bring duct tape. If the room is facing the "wrong" direction, I can't put the CPAP on the carpeted "step" and it isn't secure on the little ledge by the closet on the other side. So I secure the CPAP with duct tape.

The "train" just between CHI and MSP is #807 and #808. The only difference between the "trains" is that one goes CHI MSP, one goes CHI PDX and one goes CHI SEA. Between CHI and MSP, all 3 "trains" are combined, and "train" #807 808 is removed or added. Then both "train" #27 28 and "train" #7 8 are combined together from MSP to Spokane.
